jQuery Image Overlay 1.3 Released
Posted on Mar 29, 2010
There have been a distinct lack of updates recently on FerretArmy.com – chock it up to having to do a lot of work-induced overtime over the past few months. Either way, in order to usher in some fresher content, I’ve updated my Image Overlay plugin to version 1.3. Changes are that you no longer need to specify image width and height, as well as being able to specify different animation speeds for the ‘in’ and ‘out’ animations. Hope you enjoy!

HI I’m using your code…thanks so much it’s just what I needed. I have one issue though every time I use Safari it will only load my images with jquery on the initial load of opening a New page…if I click refresh no images show up. Same thing happens if I try loading the page from an already open tab.
Any ideas?

Just adding my voice to the cacophony; I get the same missing images as everyone else. I’m assuming there’s no fix yet?
Kinda lame you make no mention of this on the main plugin page though. I don’t know about the other commentors but I just wasted a shit ton of time building something that only works in FireFox.
Lame.

Try the latest release I put onto Google Code. Sorry the height/width issue is taking a bit of time to fix – it’s something that isn’t supported well in jQuery, so I’ve been working on a solution for quite some time.

Please try the latest version (1.3.2) and let me know if you have any issues with it.

Thanks for the heads up Jon but with the deadline come and gone there’s no need. I just reverted to standard .hide/.show for the project; the plugin was kind of an “extra” for the site.
